His men entered Janet's place quietly - they knew by now that whenever she called them, they could expect anything from a full national press conference to driving into the midst of a militarized zone. They saw the debriefing on the whiteboard - the surgical procedure quickly outline, and one of the men went out to get the portable x-ray unit. Ted's first move was to sedate the girl, thereby ensuring no movement whatsoever from her - the autonomic nervous system taking over control. He looked up to Tracker, the electrodes in hand as he noticed that probes were already set into her skull. He set the electrodes down, and picked up the electroencephaloprobes - sliding each one easily into position. He turned the laptop on, and immediately the readings skyrocketed. Tracker undid the cuffs, now that the probes were in position, neutralizing the explosive. her body would not move, but it was not due to the injection they had given her. Phil came in, and inserted a second microchip on the left hand side of the fifth vertebrae. the wires sprung out quickly, the nanobots quickly spiraling about the first set of wires and the screen went into major activity as the full monitoring sequence was being recorded. Finally the two chips sparked and dematerialized ... as they looked at the screen, all traces of both sets of wires disappeared. Were it not for the special recording device their office had invented, they would not be able to find out who set her up. Phil added a second set of nanobots, that went about the now standard procedure of sealing where the initial incisions had been made. He watched in amazement, never fully understanding how these bits of living program could heal the body, and then as the incisions were sealed off - the nanobots would dissipate into energy that would now be absorbed by the body's natural electrical field. Now, she would sleep and rest. His team was one of the best in the area - granted, their equipment was not state of the art, but they made do with what they had. Research monies had gone into areas that demanded attention. Phil was a genius at inventing equipment that, according to all records, did not even exist. Phil brought out the special mattress, and as they slid it gently under her body, the silk bindings immediately started to weave a gentle cocoon about her still form. "She will be out for about 2 days, IF she was normal. but we all know she isnt. let's go talk about who made her into the deathtrap she was. and how you want us to reprogram her." Phil moved to the kitchen, gratefully taking one of the cups of coffee already poured. "when she wakes up, she is going to be in one of two state of minds. either she is going to be terrified, or else she will be completely emotionless. I think you better hope that she is terrified, gentlemen. It will take a little bit of time to re-establish a trust with her and find out who treated her this way. They believed she would not survive. She was sent to kill you, Tracker," Janet sipped from her cup again as she allowed the words to sink in.
