Fanci` let's do it ;)
GlowingDove looks to the man she loves, her eyes filling with tears, her face contorted in wordless agony BlackHawk` Scene opens with you waking up from a dream... the dream is that I get mauled by a bear... you awake to find me getting ready to go onto the hunt GlowingDove BlackHawk` .... do not go ... I beg you! GlowingDove I fear this time .. this is different .. the spirits have spoken to me in the night GlowingDove clings to him, tears welling up and slowly spilling down her cheeks BlackHawk` turns to her... "You should sleep.. the raven has not slept... the sun has time till it rises" GlowingDove I cannot sleep GlowingDove I have seen a vision .. it was NOT a dream .. GlowingDove You must not go BlackHawk` filled with a vengeance... moves away from her... continues gathering the items for the hunt BlackHawk` I must! GlowingDove turns silently away, knowing this man feels the need for the hunt GlowingDove But .. my vision! BlackHawk` My brother lies on the pyre still smoldering... and you talk of visions GlowingDove cries in great sobs BlackHawk` drops the small bag GlowingDove You scoff at my fears .. BlackHawk` Do not weep... GlowingDove I will return to you GlowingDove You will go [GlowingDove and You will NOT come back to me BlackHawk` walks over to her slowly BlackHawk` You know I must do this GlowingDove falls to her knees, holding him tightly around his legs GlowingDove Oh BlackHawk` reaches down and picks her up GlowingDove Is there no way .. no words .. that will sway you? I give you my word GlowingDove She runs swiftly toward the Elder's Tepeee .. then stops when she hears his words GlowingDove turns slowly back to BlackHawk` BlackHawk` places the hunters feather in his hair... "I give you my word" GlowingDove You promise me that? You swear it? BlackHawk` puts his hand on his chest "On the owl... and the great buffalo... I swear it" GlowingDove sighs heavily and her shoulders drop BlackHawk` gathers his spear and the small bag GlowingDove hears the finality inhis voice GlowingDove darts inside the opening to the teepee, calling .. BlackHawk` I will summon your sister to come and wait with you until I return GlowingDove Just a minute .. wait! I have something BlackHawk` nods and waits GlowingDove steps back outside, holding a small object in her hand GlowingDove closes the distance between them, all the while looking softly into his eyes GlowingDove takes his hand .. opens it, palm up BlackHawk` looks down GlowingDove This stone ... it was beside my head when I awoke this morning GlowingDove I have never seen it before GlowingDove They .. the Old Ones .. left it for me GlowingDove and I know now ... GlowingDove it is for you. BlackHawk` nods "I will take the stone... for if you have awoken by it... then indeed it is strong magic" GlowingDove To guide you, protect you .. on this hunt BlackHawk` Now I shall go summon your sister... GlowingDove looks to him with eyes glowing now .. and closes his fingers over the stone BlackHawk` puts his hand over hers GlowingDove looks up, her face dry now and resigned BlackHawk` my love for you will always last... as long as the eagle is free... and the wind blows... I will return and we shall marry GlowingDove feels tears well into her eyes again and she is unable to speak GlowingDove nods slowly BlackHawk` begins to walk out of the Teepee toward Natatee's BlackHawk` opens the flap "Natatee" GlowingDove looks to her sister's teepee, her heart heavy as she sees his manly form stop at the entrance Natatee looks up from where she is tending the fire. BlackHawk` I am going now Natatee... GlowingDove needs you to comfort her Natatee looks at the swirls of smoke... and speaks quietly. 14"she has had a dream." GlowingDove hears his words, as if from a great distance and once again, is beset by fear and sadness BlackHawk` turns his head BlackHawk` yes Natatee looks to BlackHawk`. 14"you are aware she carries your son?" BlackHawk` turns to face her "you would not be telling me crow's stories now would you woman?" Natatee I am her sister. I have known her all my life. You have known her for only 15 years. BlackHawk` looks down BlackHawk` I must...do... what I must do Natatee and risk losing your son? BlackHawk` turns out of the teepee "She needs you... " Natatee whispers softly, "she needs you - more." GlowingDove kneels on her furs, beads of sweat popping on her brow as a small fury pounds away inside her womb BlackHawk` walks to the other braves, then plunges into the wilderness ((moves offstage for several posts)) Natatee takes a deep breath, and shakes her head. Natatee looks over to GlowingDove. GlowingDove groans and holds still as a mountain, waiting for the pounding to stop .. Natatee walks over to her... lays a hand gently upon her shoulder. GlowingDove This child .. a boy child, I know .. is fighting to know his father .. he calls to him GlowingDove and yet he leaves us! Natatee BlackHawk` is a strong warrior and is no fool. GlowingDove takes a deep breath, the activity inside her suddenly still .. and walks to the teepee flap, looking in the direction taken by her man Narrator ::The children call out that the hunters have returned:: GlowingDove looks up, hearing the excited voices .. and she rushes outside to see! BlackHawk` walks slowly... he returns alone... he carries a claw of a bear in his right hand Natatee smiles, as she looks into the swirls of smoke from the fire. GlowingDove looks and her heart leaps within her .. as does the child in her womb! BlackHawk` drops to his knees as several of the people gather around him GlowingDove runs swiftly to meet him and takes his other hand ... then slows her pace sedately, not wanting to shame Him in front of the tribe GlowingDove falls to the ground with him, peering intently into his eyes BlackHawk` holds his left hand to his stomach GlowingDove what? BlackHawk` moves his hand revealing the death wound... opens his hand and the stone falls out onto the ground GlowingDove looks frantically to see what is under his hand BlackHawk` I.... have.... returned GlowingDove AAIEEEEEEEEEEEE GlowingDove collapses in a torrent of weeping BlackHawk` as if in slow motion begins to fall to the ground GlowingDove looks around, her eyes sweeping the crowd that has assembled .. and now draws back, as if touched by the Devil claw GlowingDove Natatee!!!!!!! Natatee moves quietly to her sister. Narrator ::scene slowly pulls away... showing her screams and the comforting of her sister:: |
